Just heard back from our insurance appraiser and adjuster, it's totally covered under the comprehensive policy. Dealership is ordering the parts they need to get her back on the road soon. Total cost with parts and labor came out to $8225.
Glad to hear. You might consider asking the dealership to show you the existing damage so that you might mitigate rodent attractants in the future. Some folks have sprayed mint oils to repel rodents ( as an example, among other strategies).

I guess this is the one exception to my PSA about always locking the glove box and keeping the key blade with you when you leave your rig at the dealer..

But check your recirc flap. Seriously.
That was broken on both of my cruiser's when I bought them.

Pretty sure it was caused by corrosion of the EK2 block, which caused an arc to form. This then caused the wires to heat up an melt away the sheathing. Explains why A/C stopped working and the drivers seat heater to get hot even without the fuse pulled.
