Can you get a spare tire carrier made for the reciever? Or fab one up?

Pretty sure this started as a Marlin bumper, it can be done :)

OK, I should re-state: in it's SHIPPED form, it's not strong enough. Anything can be made stronger with enough fab work and $$$. In his case, he added another hinge above the taillight that helped a lot.

That is a very nice bumper setup. Meee likey...

:D Mike C beat me to the punch. That's Red-Chili 1 or 2, I can't remember. Another method is instead of cutting the right bracket, you slice the upper right corner pipe, splice in the spindle and bearing (or bushing) assembly and dogleg the pipe so it clears the bracket. It then swings onto a catch and clips down.

I cannot find the picture on Marlin's board anymore though, it took a 35 rock'r and the guy stood on it, with it opened to show me, then since I was 25lbs heavier, I sat on it and bounced things around for 10 minutes to see if anything deflected. Nothing went awry, I even checked for the tell-tale flaking paint around the welds and brackets. The reason it help is instead of bracketing to the body, where it could tear w/ enough frame/body flex, he made a better mounting setup for the right frame area to spread the load out, so from the viewer's eye, it looked like it was a run of the mill tube bumper.
