Good find at a good price. I blacked my rims as well. There is a good thread on how to do it. I primed mine then used a flat black paint. They came out really good and only costed me around $15 bucks for a few cans of spray paint.

Well, the FIRST thing I bought for the Cruiser was the factory service manual, about $100 shipped, ouch! I look forward to getting it though. I am a geeky engineer, and it will make excellent bathroom reading material!

Congratulations! Nice the rig already is somewhat built and looks to be in good condition. I think you got a good deal if you consider $900 for a new suspension not including labor and $800 for a new bumper. Without the mods you basically paid $7800 for a clean locked rig.

Now come out and meet the locals, we just had a meeting at southpoints yesterday and will be heading towards albemarle next month i believe. You are surrounded by cruiserheads and some really nice 80's.

You did great and I can promise you that you will soon forget the purchase price and start enjoying using your new-to-you truck the way that Toyota intended for it to be used.
As a reward for pulling the trigger quickly and not subjecting us to more "what should I do?...." threads, I will forego the standard Beo-bashing of the colour of your truck. I can't say that I like the 6M1 because that would be dishonest but I can say that if you had to get an ugly green truck, at least you got one with decent paint.

I don't know where you live, NC maybe?, but I would be more than happy to trade you the 5 black rock krawler wheels for your 5 alloy's straight up. I am in Atl and you can see the ROTW in my sig for pics of th wheels on my 80.

You know, the 6M1 grew on me. When I was shopping, it was the LAST color I wanted and I skipped over the green ones. But, this one I had been watching for a while on AutoTrader. He had it at $11,900 for at least 2 months. When he dropped it to $10,900 I gave him a call. He sent me pics and I looked at them 1000 times. I forced the green upon myself and I will grow to love it.
I use to run with the old Carolina Cruisers back in the day and know Jack, Jonathan, Terry, Trent, and R.K. fairly well. I will be getting in touch with the new crew soon.

I love the color and not just because I own a green LX! Its dark enough that it doesn't look "green," but just dark and sexy. I like mine with the silver flares
too. Welcome to the green 80 club! Are green LCs the same color as green LXs? It looks like they might be slightly different, like the LC green has some more blue in it or something? Anyone know?
Also, it looks like your center caps are discolored like mine used to be. I painted mine with duplicolor silver and it's an amazingly close match to the LX rims. I didn't bother saving the gold stenciling since nothing else on the truck has gold. Here's a pic of mine before I did the center caps.
EDIT: I realized you're blacking out the rims which would mean no center caps or blacked out caps so never mind about the paint thing.

Also, on your price.... I don't think you over paid at all. The used car market is a sellers market at the moment, with credit for new cars tougher to come by. Also, gas prices have been lower for awhile now, so gas guzzlers like these aren't as unappealing as they were this summer. I paid $7000 for mine back in october when gas prices were still high and it had 160k miles and no lockers. Also, the LXs often sell a little less than a similarly loaded LC for some reason. I don't think you over paid at all considering what you ended up with.

The LX's are hideous green.
The LC's are grotesque green.
Different colours for sure.

Glad you finally found one Robert. Dont let him fool ya guys this is his 3rd cruiser. Hes just been cruiserless for a few years now. Weird that we both ended up in green 80 series. I got my 285 MTR's on yesterday as well.

One question, where is the ATF level in the engine, i don't see it ??????. I see the oil engine level, but not the Transmission.
What Tranny have ??????. The A442 o de A343 ???????. The European FZJ 80 have the A442!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet! Looks like a great find and I love the gold trim. My advice, never look at other Cruisers for sale. If you do, you'll end up finding one you like better for less.
