I've got a Clarke 100, flux or gas, and I put a gas kit on it. It uses a lot more juice with the flux core than with gas. It is well built and has so far been reliable. I also have a Millermatic 250. The Clarke is 110v and therefore more portable. No complaints.

Right now I'm looking at some rust repair in the usual places--wheel wells (got some truly rust free ones from Cali), right rear quarter has a hole now, and passenger's side front floor board. I've already decided I'm not restoring this truck, but I thought it would be cheaper and more fun to do the patching myself. Drawbacks? No garage, no driveway, no welder! (Heh heh, maybe I'll be coming over, Mike! :flipoff2:)

I'll take a look at the Want Ad digest and see if they have any good small machines.
