Long time no see Ryan how's the 40 running these days? You should come by and visit us sometime. We had a brother's lunch at AL's place today and we were talking about his old cruiser. I told him Mike (Bang Bang) has it now and its finally getting used like it should be roaming the trails ;) Its a good time to have the 40 out enjoying this weather

Welcome new member "Frey" Still looking for a rig :)

Welcome aboard Frey , we'll help you find what you're looking for. Now is a good time to be looking prices have been down compared to what they were a few years ago. Are you open to looking out of state and shipping it in if needed? I say that because we have members that have shipped theirs in from all over.

I did get your last PM just been occupied with Sicily Island stuff and will get back with you soon.

Thanks, Larry!

I'm open to importing from other states and shipping. And depending on how far, I would be into flying out, driving back as opposed to shipping.

Welcome Frey!

I flew out and drove back only to find a lot of undisclosed issues. It wasn't a horror story by any means, but due diligence definitely pays off! Best of luck finding your ride and you've joined a good crew!

Thanks! Hoping to meet some of you folks in-person at the next meeting or maybe the Sicily Island maintenance trip.

Welcome aboard Frey! Didn't have the energy to go back and look.....what kind of vehicle are you looking for and what's your budget? I'd be glad to keep my eyes open for you in addition to everyone else who's looking.

Thanks! I'm looking for a '76 or later FJ40, but I'll consider earlier models if the condition/restor/mods are right. Trying to be choosy enough to get a solid ride, but not so picky that I can't satisfy my budget. I don't mind spending $8-9k for a good rig, but I may be better off staying below $6k. I don't need a hardcore trail rig, in fact I would prefer something closer to stock with a moderate lift and tires to match. I keep thinking stock and as I shop around and see all these great rigs/mods, my imagination starts to get carried away.

Here's an example, probably on the heavier side of what I'm looking for in terms of mods, but I like... http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/2431952302.html

I don't know if it's still available, but if it were local it would probably be in my driveway already. But with it being in KS, obtaining it pushes the total near the top of my budget.

If any of this is unrealistic, please let me know. Thanks! I appreciate all the welcomes and support.
