95 FZJ80 stalls when I accelerate during a right turn...after I fill up the gas tank. Anyone ever experience this issue?

No. Possible evap system issue. Any chance it was overfilled when you gassed up? Is the battery secure?

Not sure what an evap issue is, batteries are good, and I'm sure I over filled it...

An evaporative issue would be getting fuel into the vacuum lines which would flood the engine. Particularly if your charcoal canister had been removed or bypassed.

The check engine light came on the other day. It was a P0170, google told me it is a MAF sensor...in searching around I also found it could be a bunch of other things. I wonder if the stall is related to the code. I picked up some MAF cleaner today and cleaned it out, reset the code. We'll see what happens on the next drive.

I had a similar stalling/hesitation issue with my 91, and now that I think about it, it happened a lot on RH turns....

Replaced my Throttle Position Sensor after trying many other things that didn't seem to nix it.

TPS replaced and she runs like a dream.....probably cursed myself typing that out...

good luck

Make sure you check your Flux capacitor! ;)

The 80 series will be a bit unstable on reentry. Especially since it's not stainless.

The maf could cause stalling. A failed maf can completely disable a vehicle.

Has the stall issue been a long time issue after fill ups, or did it just start since the last fill up?

I am confused. Is Throttle Position Sensor not the same as TPS?

I just bought it so I'm not sure how long it's been doing it. I cleaned the MAF a few days ago and haven't had an CEL since. Filled up today and it stalled three times all on right turns. It's made for NASCAR I guess :)

I am just thinking here but. When you accelerate in a right turn your fuel will build up in the rear left of the tank possibly even into the fill spout and down the breather tube. If the breathe tube got connected to a vacuum line on top of the fuel tank it could flood the motor and stall it, but only when enough fuel was in the tank to slosh in.

Not yet. Other irons in the fire... CEL came back on, p0136...O2 sensor is what I was told.
