Weird side moulding on a cruiser?

You can do the lift yourself. Its really not that hard and you will save a ton of money on labor. I lifted mine in the front yard. Let me know if you need some help. I'm sure we could find a free weekend day to wrench.

I say go 35's if you want. Just remember to drop the bump stops and f. swaybar. We live in the flatlands of Charleston. There isn't a hill for 75 miles. I haven't regeared yet in over a year and it really hasn't been an issue. I've just recently been on the interview trail all over the southeast in the cruiser. I went through W. Virginia, western Virginia, NC and Ten. Even in these mountainous areas the bus kept chugging along. Granted I had to turn off overdrive in a few situations but it wasn't like I was doing 35mph in the truck lane up the mountain. I guess its all relative to what you're willing to put up with. I don't mind the extra lag in the mountains for now. Just my two one hundredths of a dollar.

I think we are talking about two different things here. The side mouldings we are referring to are the strips on the doors that go front to back and sometimes say 4 wheel drive. The side mouldings you are referring to are what we also call fender flares.

BTW any side pics of those 4" mouldings on that truck?

Neo , as stated above , I think you're referring to 'flares' . Does that company Formverks still make them ? Damn they were nice ..

What always erks me is when a guy makes an arctic cruiser , throws on 38's .. wider wheels the whole shebang , but doesn't take the time to search out and install those small flare extensions that bolt onto the ends of the existing bumper . They complete the curve of the nice fat flares !

For example , look at this guys .. ICEMAN from Iceland (go figure ;) ) He has the flare extension , as well as the other mouldings we are speaking of here :
