I’m not quite sure if I should post in 60s or 80s forum but I’m getting a weird noise from my rear axle from 80 series. It’s also accompanied by some grinding while on the road. The axle turns freely and I’m fairly certain the e brake is not seized. I took the calipers and rotors off and as I turn the hubs by hand they are making a weird click/clunk as I turn them. They turn pretty freely but I would assume it’s not supposed to make a noise at all and should turn quietly and smoothly.

I’m not sure what air lockers it has but it has them. I did blew some compressed air in the port and they lock up as intended.

Gonna pull these apart and maybe do wheel bearings and rebuild soon. But I just wanted to ask y’all’s opinion of what this noise is.
Video of noise

I have spare front and rear diffs from a fj62. Are the third members interchangeable?

The clicking is too fast to be the gear ring mesh. I might be the teeth on the locker not quite fully disengaging. Also check your magnet on the wheel speed censor, that it isn't rubbing the hub.

Okay good to know. Definitely not the wheel speed sensor one is removed and the other was backed out all the way when I took the video.
