I went wheeling on Monday with my cousin, we weren't going hard at all. We were then leaving to go to another spot and I started hearing a noise in the front differential. We went back to his house to see if he could fix it but we can't find where it's coming from. When I drive its like bang bang click click click........ All the way home. I had to limp home the other night. It's either the transfer case, front diff, the pumpkin, or the ring and pinion. When the truck is in high it won't go anywhere. And the gears start to grind. Amy tips or ways to fix would be appreciated. Thank you.

In high, your center diff lock is disengaged, so if the front drivetrain isn't working, the vehicle won't move. In low, unless you've modified it, the rear driveshaft is locked to the front and so you can still move forward.

Look under the vehicle when it's in high... if only the front shaft is spinning while hte rear is unmoving, then i'd suggest ring and pinion or a broken front axle shaft/birf.

If you have lockers, and can lock the front, you can rule out the latter by locking it up and seeing if it allows it to drive in "H" again.

Alright thank you
