This Weber Carb came with my FJ45. It is a twin barrel, and I was told a 32/32. Which is maybe like Thorvald's. It has a stamp that says "27" in a circle on the front barrel.

I don't know about Webers. This one has an automatic choke. Anyone think they know what it is? Is it any good? It seems to run OK.

The return spring setup, as you can probably see, is kindof jury rigged.

The linkage appears to be OEM, at least in part. Can anyone tell me about that? Is it complete?

I can't tell for sure what model it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not a 32/36 since it's not progressive (the meshed gears open both barrels simultaneously). Mine runs fine and I can't really complain. If I had the option, I'd go for stock, but it runs fine and the electric choke actually works much better than I expected. I used to worry about it since I always had to fiddle with my manual choke to get it running right (vacuum leaks), but I literally never even think about it anymore.

Mine is also mounted 90* off, so that the linkage is toward the firewall and doesn't leave enough room for a picture.

On my 32/36, there are stampings on the red box in pic 1 that say "32 36 DGAV33xxx"

Pictures 2 and 3 are of the stock linkage. I used the complete stock linkage and just had to 'customize' the throttle lever arm on the carb (cut n weld) to get the proper angle.

Pic 2 is the pivot on the firewall. I couldn't tell from your pics exactly where everything was hooked up, but this is the stock setup.

I'm guessing that the shaft under the yellow arrow is what's hooked up to your carb lever?

In the stock setup, it (now red arrow) goes to another pivot mounted to the block but hidden behind the exhaust manifold in pic 3. Then there is a linkage that goes vertically up to the carb (yellow arrow). The throttle return springs are connected to the hidden pivot on the block.

Hope that all makes sense. It looks like the PO omitted the second pivot point on the block and went straight to the side of the carb. The little pin that goes through the throttle lever arm definitely looks stock, so it looks like the stock linkage arm (yellow arrow in pic 3) was used, but in place of the intermediate parts.

Your pic posting is fine; it's just the subject matter that scares me!

Yeah yeah. I tried really hard for a long time to stay stock, but eventually the 'being able to drive the cruiser' bug beat out the 'keep the stock carb' bug. Of course, this was in my pre-MUD days.

In my defense, it actually runs really well, and I helped support a fledgling Cruiser business (well actually two by the time I got done with it). It makes more power on the highway than before and I didn't have to bastardize the linkage or anything else except the fuel line which had already been cut by the PO.

I would seriously consider going back to stock if I weren't planning on swapping in a TBI 2F fairly soon.

Well, e rock, I looked and looked and couldn't find a marker stamp like yours. Maybe when I have the carb off I'll find it. Thanks for the help!

I'm certainly not an expert, but I seem to remember that my barrels were visibly different in size when viewed from the bottom (32/36). If you're pulling it off anyway, you could probably mic them both and at least get an idea of what you're looking at.
