anyone know if the weather stripping for the passenger doors are cross-compatible with newer 77/78 prados or LC? The parts for my specific frame number are discontinued for my resources in Japan. Wondering if my buddy with a newer (97 I think) LJ78 can order based on his frame number. I know the door architecture is different, but hoping the window seals are the same.

I just looked at the weatherstrips on a 2014 VDJ76 and a 1990 LJ78. They look visually the same to me. I can tell you that the upper frame front corners on the front doors of folding windshield trucks are squared off and fixed roof trucks are radiused. I used the latter ones on my BJ74 with the squared off corners and they do work but the upper front corner fit is less than optimum.
