Came across this picture on google earth as 'secret falls'. Shows being on Little Nitnat river close to the Nitnat hatchery; but who knows if thats right. Anyone been here? Looks like some dang nice falls to visit in the heat of summer.

Well, don't say here. Put it in the members page. Used to have a cool secret place on Haslam Creek. Now
its got some damned ugly steel/chain link bridge over it for that damned TransCanada trail. Completely
spoiled one of the most beautiful 'locals only' spots on the creek.

I researched into it, and apparently the Nitnat first nations are looking to put a dam/generator at this location. 4.6MW. What a shame. Will have to visit it before that happens. It is on the little Nitnat river.

Little Nitinat River Hydro is a 4.6 MW hydropower project being developed by the Ditidaht First Nation near Nitinat Lake on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Power will be generated by a Kaplan turbine and sold to BC Hydro.
