Over the last few weeks there’s been some good rain storms. After both storms my drivers floor board is soaked. I’ve read plenty of posts about sunroof drains being blocked as the cause of this. Can anyone tell me how to check for this? I don’t find any water along the A-Pilar, just soaked carpet on the drivers floor nearest to the door.

it can also come from bad windshield replacements if they didn't use the proper rivets, look in the moulding area on the left and right of the windshield, it can enter there as well.

First and easiest check is the drains under the sills. The sunroof drains end up inside the sills running under the doors, and then there's a drain every 10-20 inch along the bottom edge of the sills. These outlets easily get clogged (e.g. by anti rust treatment), and then it overflows at the front, into the footwell. You can often hear sloshing when moving if that's the case.

The sunroof drain looks to be easier to diagnose and fix. Hopefully that's the source. I need to find some weed wicker line or an insulated wire cluster run down the drain hose. If that's not the issue, then I guess I'll test the windshield and see if that's the source.
Thanks fellas.

So, Opened up the sunroof (first time since I bought the LX in July) and found sitting water along the front tray and in the corners over the drain holes. Had some tree staking wire that I taped the end to prevent the wire end from damaging the plastic tube down the "A" pillar and fed the wire down both openings. Did this multiple times with some tapping at the bottom. The resting water drained and I followed up with pouring some water into the tray corners above the drain holes. By the time I got down from the sunroof, the water was draining below near the pinch welds where it is supposed to. I think that source has been fixed for now.

If I want to test the windshield for leaks, do I need to remove the grab handles and the A pillar trim? Seems like if I leave those on, I won't notice the leak until it presents itself on the carpet below. At least with the trim removed, I think I'll be able to see water dripping from the windshield seams?

I read somewhere that another way to test the windshield for leaks is to pour soapy water along the outside edges of the windshield, then blow compressed air from inside and if there is a leak, the soapy water will bubble on the outside?
