Has anyone been successful at replacing the rubber coolant hose highlighted in yellow below without having to buy the whole assembly? The Outlet Hose C is NLA, and it looks like I should be able to just replace that section of hose, but I do not want to cause an issue. Anyone tried this?

I use Napa gold strip or gates green stripe buy 1’ piece and be done. Some quality hose clamps. Bring your tube with you so you know you get the correct size I believe it’s 5/8.

I have constant torque clamps and 6 feet of Napa Gold Stripe already, but did not want to mess up by changing it if it did not work well with being so close to the exhaust manifolds.

I found a molded hose that fit that pretty well a few years back. If you're not married to your pair valve you can replace it with one solid pipe from an OBD2 80.

The pair is gone already. I will check and see what the cost of the solid pipe is. As it stands now, I can complete it without any additional spending, but losing the rubber altogether is pretty attractive.

$250 from Toyota, $114 from Partsouq plus shipping and fees, and $93 on eBay. I think I am going to stick with the Gates hose and constant torque clamps for now.
