I was visiting some friends going to school in DC for two weeks. They drug me all over town showing me dives and great places to eat, those were the lunch joints that stuck out as either really freaking good or great bang for the buck. DC has some really good food, the melting pot culture kicks ass.
I know it from Atlanta, but I believe there is a Fogo de Chau in DC. It's not really lunch, but it's by far the best chiaroscuro I've been to. The meat is to die for, and although it is expensive, if you go hungry you very easily get your money's worth. Fxxx I love that place.
There's a Fogo de Chao in Baltimore. I'm sure there's one in DC as well. The best Brazilian rodizio I've been to was the Midwest Grille in Somerville, right outside of Boston. Quality was awesome, and it was like 25 bucks instead of 75-125.
I'm sure it's great. It is unlikely that I'll go there, though.

Fogo uses top quality products. That is the difference between them and the other Brazilian rodizios. Their salad bar is stellar..
I bet that DC area BBQ is awesome.... i mean ketchup slathered ribs.. yummy
Update:
Ate at Ben's Chili Bowl yesterday. My verdict is two thumbs WAY down. Very expensive, mediocre quality, and the half smokes were nothing special. I mean, it's probably worth going to say that you've been, but the food was really weak. And $6 for a chili dog? Tigger please.
