Corrales. Hiding from Utah winter
My windshield washer jar was in very sad condition and one good bump away from shattering. 25 years took it's toll and I was even reluctant to lift the cap to fill it. The "correct" jar is not even live any more so I went looking. I found a live part number, 85315-60210, that applies to much later 7x series variants. So I ordered one. The new jar is somewhat taller and holds more (~2.5 liters as opposed to ~2.0 liters for the original. The mounting pattern is the same and my original motor fit perfectly in the new jar. It is not "Concours Correct" but OEM and available.

That's good to hear: i was blown away by the tiny size of the windshield juice reservoir in the troopie, so it's good to know something larger is available. It may not be such a big deal in some places, but often in the winter one's windscreen gets covered in crap in no time. Thanks, CruiserDan.

In Southern Georgia we simply would have used a Mason Jar and drilled a hole in the metal lid. :)
Could have used duct tape to attach it to the inner fender.

Hmmmyeah...there are any number of possibilities now, hey.
Exactly, Mason jars come in a variety of sizes and even colors. :)

You need the correct air filter housing with the intake pointed at the hole.

The hole in fender that the housing is blocking is littered with relays, that'll prolly be moving soon.

Dan sent a pic that showed an extension that wraps into the forward fender hole, with a baffle looking apparatus nestled in fender that would work, but it's a dead fish in the U.S.

Your airbox appears identical to the one on the 77 Series.

Should be from a LHD, Euro spec, 24V HZJ73.

Well one more "non-import" part has been shut down. I tried to get one yesterday and the order was rejected. This is really getting to be a huge downer for me.

I guess they are afraid this washer jar will end up in the middle east, on a bad guy's rocket launcher. :bang:

Windex + paper towel + elbow grease. :)

At 65 MPH in a snow storm.....OK....:moon:

How much does Rob charge for fabricating the custom Mason jar washer reservoirs?
As the saying goes, if you have to ask you probably can't afford it. :)
