Hey Folks,

Got a 1991 Prado, the red "Exclamation point" light is cycling on and off.
My manual makes no reference to what the cob the thing means.
Can someone share what this light is telling me?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a tire pressure monitoring system...that is probably what it is (low tire pressure). Some vehicles also display a similar looking warning for low brake fluid level.

A 91 Prado won’t have a tire pressure monitoring system, at least not from the factory. Probably brake fluid level is low or the sensor for the brake fluid reservoir is going out.

I bet it's the brake fluid level.

Thanks guys.

Just out of curiosity, can you post a photograph of the warning light?
Thanks

If it is the same light that comes on when the e-brake is engaged then I would bet it is brake related. In my case I had the reservoir level sensor go out (making it flicker on and off) and replacing it made it go away.

Look like it was the fluid level.
I added a photo.

Check the wiring on the master cylinder, if its loose or not properly earthed it will cause the light to come on.
