Warn xr 10000 no spool

I have a Warn XR 10000 that came on the 40 I bought. I cannot engage the lever into the free spool position. I have used a channel lock and put quite a bit of force attempting to get it to engage with no luck. It does go in and out with power with no problem. Any advice would help. I do not have a lot of winch experience and have never worked on them. Thanks

Take the gear box off, clean it and free up the free spool clutch, grease it up and reinstall it. About a 1 hr job.
