Very good, how much you want for it ? Do you think they quit making these controllers ? another question, what is a good parts source for Warn winches ?

They didn't stop making the controller, just changed the plug on the end of the wire and the solenoid pack. $60! for a working Warn winch! You did better than me at $80 for two wrecks. I need two of the four prong female plugs for my solenoid packs but they are discontinued. So I'm going to cut off the male four prong plugs on my controllers and replace both ends with something else. If I can't find anything suitable I'll get the new 3 prong male and female from Warn.

I will trade you one for a FJ45 Bed.

Well i just got off the phone with Warn, man he customer service is outstanding, anyway it looks like i may have a m8000 on my hands, the k15 stamped on the clutch side is the manufacture date, 1985. The 4 pin controller box is no longer avail, like someone else advised, so i either need to find a four prong controller or change it out to the new 5 prong one, with new cover and plug. If anyone needs these the Cover part # is 28461 and is $43, the Plug part#16296=$35 and the remote part#38626=$90.

And all this for my $60 winch

Now i know why i haggle over everything ...

Hopefully someone will have some used parts, (Controller) hint hint ..

I used an old 4 plug trailer plug and wired it up the hand control I had I also wired an in cab switch . Just get an double throw switch and wire it for an in cab control

I plan an in cab switch as well - I think it's a handy thing if your careful.

Ok, went to manny, moe, and jacks store and bought a 4 prong trailer male and female plug, rewired the control box plug, replaced the ground wire and the positive leads from the winch to the battery. I pluged and wired everything in and wham, my $60 warn winch works great. I still need to wire the switch inside, however i know now at least my winch works.

Thanks for the help from all of you here of this awesome site.

Here's to another satisfied "MUD" customer...

Whaddaya mean? - the courier says you got the bed sides last week! ;p;p:lol:

I haven't looked yet for a plug set - I started my rebuild on the 45:wrench::wrench:

Just go buy a 4 prong trailer plug, both at Manny, Moe, and Jack were like $12or something like that .... Super easy and you get to keep your parts ...
