Warn winch 8274 upgrade (1 Viewer)

Do you have any idea about how much the increase would be? I'm planning a full restore and thinking I may as well upgrade the motor as this one is 40 years old.

They say with the 6hp motor 8274 becomes a 10K versus 8K

that's a good thread. I've been looking for the end cap for that non gear side. were you able to source it?

Didn't need to, the one that came with mine was still good.

I sourced the new end cap on ebay. I did the drill and tap for zerks, more info in my build thread in this forum. I just did the rebuild so if you have any questions feel free to message me.
