Where are you located? What kind of project are you planning on undertaking? Here in the greater Seattle area there has been some fairly nice $$ 55's and some major work $$ 55's and even some in between!

No offence but you might want to look into a FJ Cruiser then? Or call TLC if the sticker shock doesn't kill you. I consider my FJ55 pretty dialed in mechanically, but always seem to be tweaking or tuning something? In a few months the youngest ones will be 30 years old! Also AutoZone will pretty much never have what you need! Just some food for thought?

I've been looking at FJ55s for a few years now. You're looking at spending around 3000-4000 for one that runs good with some rust. Keep checking ebay and these forums.

I will always consider an offer on mine. It is in the Body shop having the rust taken out right now but mechanically almost done. I just need to make up some PS hoses.

We get Canadians down here all the time. Maybe you know someone who who visits Yuma, AZ that could haul it back for you.

I am selling mine in Seattle...

We have four vehicles and need to get that number down to two. I will be taking care of a few details and then shooting some fresh photos soon. In the meantime if anyone wants to start a conversation I am approachable.

1976 FJ55 with original 2F, emissions, and running gear. Upgrades include bodywork (done several years ago), Ranger Overdrive tranny, Detroit Locker, custom swing out tire carrier, brush guard, rock sliders, CB etc...

Still working on stuff and figuring out a price. Piggy is in Seattle.

I am going over there later this afternoon. We will do a quick once over, and make a plan from there. Over the course of this coming week I will head over there, do a few things and then shoot a whole bunch of photos. After that we will come up with a plan and post it here, Craigslist and possibly ebay etc. I would much prefer to deal with a local sale though, but will do whatever it takes.

So, next weekend might be the best time to check her out if you are interested.

There is a good chance I might be selling my 1978 FJ40 trail rig as well...
