Wanted 75' - 83' FJ40

I Finally got my brother convinced to buy a 40 rather than a J**P. And being an obsessed cruiserhead myself I am more excited than he is.

So, what we are looking for is an entry level 1975' - 1983' FJ40 Price range $2500-$3500. Must be within driving range for us which is anywhere in Az., Ca., Co., Id., Nv. NM., Ut., or Wy. Must run. the more stock the better. dont want someones botched project. Rust is OK but the less the better.

If anyone knows of something like this, dont buy it yourself. let me know so my brother can join the club. THanks!

75-83 running cruisers close to stock, not botched, and little rust are going to run you about 8-15K. I hate to be johnny raincloud but if you want to spend 2500-3500, expect either a shot body, or no drivetrain. Also, check your local craigslists, nickel ads, etc... who knows you might get lucky.

I know it a tall request, but im no stranger to the game and i have seen 3 or 4 matching my description in the last 2 months. Just didnt see them in time. The 78' that i drive i got i paid $2500 had some rust, but agian i said that was ok. So just looking for some assistance. Of coarse i check craigslist daily. Thanks.

Theres a nice running 1982 fj40 with no rust in my town for 6k. looks stock with soft top only and fairly nice. Its been for sale for a little while, price started at 9k. 2500 I wouldnt expect to find one running, but thats just where I live (socal)
