Wanted '58-59 Steering Wheel w/horn switch

Just FYI, you can use a FJ40 wheel up to around '68 I think. The 40 wheel just won't have the base and stud for the 25 turn signal switch. The horn button and all the pieces up to '72 are the same. They're out there, but not easy to find in good shape.

Thanks for the info. I picked up LandCruiserSteve's 25 last year and my hope is to find and restore a '59 wheel to get it back to original. There is a 57/58 Wheel on there now which does not incorporate a horn button. Steve gave me the info that the 57's and 58's had a separate dash-mounted push-button next to the ignition key that activated the horn. Right now to keep as original as possible I am going to temporarily mount a button.

If this wheel is still on there, you've got the right wheel, just need the guts to make the horn switch work. The horn wire comes out of the column right below the speedo cluster, there's a brush and spring and a spring plate in there. Usually worn and /or corroded. Check out the diagram on SOR to see the parts:

I sub'd a spring from a click pen, and a brush from the parts bin at ace sanded to shape as mine were missing in action. Rest of the goodies I had.

Thanks for the input. It is the wheel I have. When i get the chance I'll be opening up to see what i have got by way of parts in there.
