Tonight I was moving a trailer in snow. I noticed in low range VSC TRAC / VSC OFF and ABS lights illuminate.
Putting the transfer case into high and turning the ignition off and on clears the lights.

In low I get no help from ATRAC. I tested this by climbing a very slick snowy hill. ATRAC never engaged and there was no ABS noise. I had one wheel spinning and didn't feel like I had any help from the other front.

Putting in high range and turning the ignition on and off I got ATRAC engagement, and no warning lights.

Putting in L with the CDL I got no ATRAC and all of the warning lights.

Putting in H with the CDL I got assistance from ATRAC and crawled up the hill in 2nd.

I rarely use Low range. And my other 100 is down a battery at the moment (Its been stupid cold in Arkansas). But I don't recall these lights illuminating when in low range before. Not tempted to take either of the Lexi out and test them.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I had the exact same problem yesterday in Moab. I posted in the existing thread titled “a-trac not engaging help?” Hopefully we can get some answers!
I’m wondering if this is expected behavior. Should have a battery in my 06 to see if she behaves the same today. Some Google Fu showed some discussions that lead me to think this may be normal. Others seem to point to a possible issue. So yeah, hopefully someone will chime in. I put all of my rigs in L and engage the CDL frequently and just don’t know that I recall seeing this.

Well, my 06 does not exhibit the same behavior in L 4. And the atrac works just fine in low range.

This went away on Tuesday. Today I was pulling a trailer down a muddy trail, dropped the trailer, backed the rig up and decieded to put it in low on a steep muddy hill. About 5 seconds after putting it in low range I had the christmas tree again. Thought maybe it was angle realated so pulled up onto flat pavement. Put it in L4 and after a couple of seconds the same lights again. Just have been busy, but will try to get the codes. Still no strange behaviour in H...

I'm wondering if it might be either the low range switch or neutral switch on the transfer case...
