    Hello,

I am trying to get things together for a vortec and nv4500 swap. I have a question I hope that someone can help with. What fuel pump can I use for the swap. I have a 2005 GM 6.0L vortec engine. I have seen fuel delivery systems with auxilary holding tanks in the engine compartment... Is this the way to go or should I try the stock fuel pump from a siera or yucon? If it matters I have a 1973 fj40 with dual gas tanks. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

    Mike:confused:

    Hey 73,

I am running an MSD 2225 Fuel pump flows 43GPH This is running the 5.3 Vortec 2003 system. The unit has no problem keeping up just verify the flow rate for the 6.0 and you should be fine

Thanks.... It's looking like the way to go is an in-line pump... That engine of yours looks nice sitting in you rig from what I can see. I wish I could get everything together so I could start this already.

as big blue said, e2000, available at any parts store, from ford f150 trucks I believe, some have lifetime warranty's which is nice, carry a spare and you are good to go.

After having two of the MSD 2225 fail on me I went with a new stock AC delco in tank pump out of a 2004 GMC yukon to feed the 5.3. I had to do some fab work to the FJ40 tank but it was well worth it for me.
