I snagged one of the OEM badges off eBay to make a front plate, and figured someone else might find the mounting post measurements useful.

Download a vector PDF of the template here.

I also took a photo of the badge in an attempt to make a vector outline of the logo. I was unsuccessful with the vector due to the mirror finish and not wanting to spend too much time on the project, but I did at least get a pretty good 4K wallpaper out of it:

Nice, Robert. Would that side badge fit on a 2011? How difficult was it to install? Thanks - Ray
It should fit, but you will need to modify the badge. The badge from Spector comes with tabs designed to go through the sheet metal and it is flat. To fit it on the rear pillar of the 200 series, you'll need to grind off the tabs and then bend it slightly because the pillar is curved. I then used 3M double sided automotive tape that is made for installing badges and emblems to complete the installation. It was pretty easy, finding reference points to align the badge was the biggest "challenge." I used the top of the chrome molding on the rear side window.

I was able to get the HE emblem from a Toyota dealer in Illinois that was selling them on amazon. My local dealer wouldn't sell one to me without a VIN from a HE.

Thanks again for the tips. Here’s the result and some photos of the process. Trimming the 3M tape with exacto knife was a little tedious and tricky, but worth saving a couple hundred dollars $US.

Looks great! I've had all of the parts to do the same on mine on a shelf for 2 years now and just haven't got to it. How did you go about slightly bending the badge to fit the contour of the pillar? Just trial and error until you got it to lay "flat"?

Haha, I let it sit for awhile too even after I finished the grinding and tape work because the ideal temperature to apply should be 65F and above. As for the bend, I initially thought I’d need some metal shop tools and a hammer. As it turns out, I was able to just bend with my hands at the needed spots that didn’t conform to the D pillar. One final learning, I was struggling with the angle so I used masking tape and a level to guide the final application, but then realized that assumes the car was level to the ground. It is not. At the end, I just eyeballed it to the line of the side windows. Go for it and post photos so we can see.
