Those old diesels are dogs, how about a good running 2F. My ‘78 has never run hot even on long climbs way above a mile high. Oh and the heat here in Phoenix. What are you putting in it? I hear V8 swaps in 60’s and 80’s run hot.

That's not my video, and I'm not the guy in it, but, the video says that he's putting a 2.8 Cummins in it.
 
Reminds me of my drive from SGV to Toole, UT with the old & knocking 1fzj to have it replaced with the current 1hdft. Through the entire drive praying one of the rods didn't create a self ventilating block.
