I've done a very similar trip in my 80.

Did you stay in Eagle Plains or did you go to Inuvik in one day?

It looks you had similar weather. I went this summer and it was overcast most of the time.

Since we didn't start the Dempster until 5ish, we stayed at Eagle Plains on the way up. and continued the next day to Inuvik. On the way down though we did it all in one go in some crazy weather. The way up took 12 hours driving over the two days, but the way back took 10.5 hours driving in one day including a couple brief stops for gas, picnic lunch and photos. That was a hell of a day.

Oh yeah driving in Victoria is fun - i always drove there to these amazing wine tasting events - and with my 4 wheeler its real fun to drive through some dirt tracks
