These remote controlled lights retailed for close to $900.00 in Japan about 8 years ago. (Ask Mot
) This is extremely rare in the US and were never imported. This expedition lamp is a 100 watt IPR light and is MOTORIZED!!! It works great and rotates 360 degrees AND PIVOTS up and down about 150 degrees. The harness is almost 3/4 thick and holds 6 wires encased in plastic.....it is overbuilt!!
It is operated from inside the "cockpit and the On-Off switch is made from aircraft grade aluminum and has a green LED INSIDE the switch when activated. Then, you have the toggle which activates the remote light in any direction.This was on my 80 series for about a year and now I am "streamlining" the truck.
There are no instructions BUT, I have labeled every wire where they go. (Simply a ground and to the battery) This is a real headturner in traffic when it starts to move remotely....the light is bright beam.
