I did a search but couldn't find a part number or link to a specific tool. Anyone that's removed their springs with the head off, what did you use to remove the locks and seals?

I just replied to that other thread, but here is what you will need.

Amazon product ASIN B000P0ZJIS
Search for this on Amazon if the link does not work: Lisle 36200 Valve Keeper Remover and Installer , Black

Thanks again!

ah ha. I watched his video on the head removal but didn't see these. Thanks!

Old thread but I was doing some searching and came upon it. FYI, Harbor Freight has a Large Valve Spring Compressor that appears identical to the OTC model. HF number 58802, $59.99 as of today. I'm going to get one to see if it works.

Just finished using the harbor freight valve spring compressor, and it worked fine. The valve seal removal tool I got from Amazon or ebay, either way they are like $15 but the way they come they're too slick and slippery to pull anything. Might as well be Teflon coated.

I got a Dremel with a little cut off wheel and cut some grooves in the Jaws and it worked just wonderful as could be. Also bought some angle iron and built a support for the head that I could bolt to an old light duty engine stand so I could get to both sides of the head at once. I'm too clumsy to try to get the valve stem keepers and properly with the head sideways on a bench.
