I thought that it may be a good idea to start a thread on this. We kind of talked about it at the knuckle party, but never set a date and time. Any thoughts?

I think that Chris is in line for a valve adjustment as well. I have a transfer case saver to install as well as my winch.

Plan it for a Sunday afternoon. I'll do my best to get there.

We need to plan around you on this one brother. You and Barry are the man.

John is the man, but he don't do no intraweb.

Barry and I are probably about dead level on this one by now. I know a good many tricks on my 3FE which makes me quicker to get into a 3FE valvetrain than others, but I'm just OK past that.

If Barry's in I say yall plan it and 90% I'll probably be there if it's on a sunday PM.

Heath and I did mine a couple weeks ago in front of my house. One needs to get the engine thoroughly warm, then work relatively fast to adjust them at a hot temp. Some non-essential things can be removed while it is warming. Mine will run with the air housing off.

One needs:

A 1 7/8" (or metric equivalent) socket and breaker bar to turn the engine to TDC.
flashlight to see the timing mark through the window.
Timing light.
Tachometer.
2f manual.
socket set and wrenches: 14mm and 12mm
feeler gauge with .22mm and .35mm shims.
Large flathead screwdriver.

I have all of the above. Just name a time a place. We can do it at my house if you don't mind working on the street.

Greg, did you get a tatoo? What body part is that in your avatar?

Tony don't mind.[/QUOTE]

Yeah, Tony don't mind.

No. An arm.

Care to elaborate on the mysterious avatar?

Tony, if you want to come by here we could adjust the valves, then head down to the river for a short run. I'm itchin' to test out my tires. Perhaps Sr. Greg would allow us the use of his level driveway?

Lash wants to do his lift and Tony, a lift would be helpful to install the t-case saver. Is Chris offering up the shop after church on Sunday? Lets do it all in one place if possible. My house is OK as well.

Wonder if we could squeeze my motormounts in?

Chris must have had to sacrifice the internet to pay for all of his recent purchases. No word from him on the subject. ;p

He has leg/back problems. Having an MRI today.

Lets plan it for Jeff's house if we are going to tackle the lift, valves and motor mount.

Sunday @ 1 is cool with me, if time permits I probably need a valve adjustment and my ARB compressor installed. But Lash and Killer come first since they got left out the other week.'

Chris

I'll be there for at least part of the time.

3 valve adjustments
1 lift
motor mounts
1 arb compressor

That's a pretty good list right there.

I will be a little late. We have a Sunday School picnic. I'll be there by 1:30.

Thanks Chris for the use of your shop! Hope your MRI turns out well.

Sorry yawl I'm out:frown: aint out becasue of fun but business:o

hey i might roll out there if someone thinks that they can help me test the continuity of my solenoids in my winch. I have found the right solenoids at napa, I just can't figure out which one needs to be replaced.

I know the electrical issues are not a favorite of this club, but I am lost here. Also, I will lend a hand where needed.

I'm just a little curious. Where are we doing this thing? Jeff's or Chris's place?
