Wondering if there would be interest in a thread dedicated to part numbers and images? Some parts are easy to identify on a diagram. Others are buggers (diagram or description not clear). And sometimes you just may want to see what something looks like that is being discussed.

My thought would be to have a thread with posts like the one that follows this that would organically grow over time. To preserve the purpose any 'how to' questions would be requested to be started in their own thread.

Is this something that others would find useful? If so, I'd be happy to launch it. I have a bunch of pics from my recent major preventative maintenance.

I think this is a potentially very useful idea. Back when I had my 100, I added a post to a long FAQ thread with extensive part numbers for a very complete 100,000K PM. That was an often-cited thread/post. The problem is that so many members on here would probably not follow the request to limit the thread to part numbers and would post how-to's or non relevant commentary. I suggest giving it a try and see how it goes. If it gets unwieldy or messy and hits a dead end, at least some of the valuable info will be there! I hope others will more experience will weigh in here too.

That's a great site. The linking in the diagrams is better than most.

However, what I'm envisioning is is to help resolve something like this PS exhaust gasket. The link shows a gasket, but doesn't show the real gasket.
