V8 shroud source??

Looking for a source to get a shroud for a stock size radiator....BTB wants $$...anyone else know of a source to get one???

I've found in most cases taking your dimensions with you to the junk yard can get you what you're looking for. If that doesn't work get some aluminum from Home Depot or the like and make one. Check the following post and you'll see a couple choices.

That looks like a pretty nice radiator too Rice....Did it fit in the stock mounting channel?? I will probably hit the boneyard tomorrow for a look see. Thanks

for what its worth
after i made that post, i wen tot the u-pull it....searched and searched and searched....finally found a shroud that coudl encase my fan....out of an early 90s aerostar van i beleive....unfortunalty after all the cutting and trimming i needed to do to get it to fit, there was no way to mount it and impossible to work with. at least it only cost me 5 bucks though.
i think i will try to make my own using rivets...make it a two peice as well

I believe this might help anyone that doesn't know what a BTB shroud is. $134.50 and it's sweet! $134 is not a lot of money for something this important.IMO.

i think i will try to make my own using rivets...make it a two peice as well

Thats the route I'm going. I like BTB's and SORs, but I know they won't fit exactly and will require some cutting, and for that much $$, I shouldn't have to cut anything. I bought some aluminum and am working on one like Rice has. We'll see how it comes out.
