homemade fan shrouds!!!
i could use some ideas....especially on the best way to mount it. pictures speak louder then words but any ideas are good ideas.

If you are trying to use the OE radiator, I would start with a stock shroud so your mounting is taken care of. You can then have a metal fab shop make you a circle of sheetmetal of the appropriate diameter for the fan you are using, or do it yourself. I would use 14-16 ga. Position it, tack it and fill in the rest with metal.
Are you doing a V8 conversion?

If you have room I would go with the Taurus electric fan. The shroud is built in, if it fits your radiator of course.

i dont have the stock rad....its a gm rad that i am using for the gm engine
i dont have room to fit the electirc fan in properly...i wasnt using an taurus fan, i had tried a zirgo 16 inch (3200 approx cfm) and it was basically useless....so now i have to go back to the regular 7 blade big block fan but this time im goign to put a good shroud on it.

i am going togo sketch out the templates right now on my lunch break as i put the big block fan back in...then i will cut some sheet metal....only thing i cant envision yet is how im going to mount it....but im sure i can figure something out....14 guage is the way to go though eh?

stay out of water crossings

cheap go to junkyard with measurements, find a two piece gm plastic shroud trim to fit, done.
fullsize cars with V6 have a really wierd shroud!

the shop and welder i usualyl use it al pakce dup for a move so im sol there....i guess i will hit the junkyard and find somethign that will work.

Will try another picture upload. The shroud is made from aluminum I got from Home Depot and is mounted to the original radiator mounts that come off of the frame.
