2000 LX470. Looking to change out the factory wheels and new tires. Can't decide on either 275/70/16 or 275/60/18. What have you guys and gals done with yours and why? I like the 18's, but wonder if tires would be okay for desert driving. Decided on BFGoodrich all terrain TA's. Would really appreciate some input, please!

275/70/18 KO2s on Tundra 18’s. Stock front with torsion bars turned up, and a 25mm rear coil spacer . No rubbing, and cheap! It is a common size for an “upgrade” on a Tundra, and the tires are generally pretty cheap. Therefore, used wheel tire sets, or at least used wheels are readily available. Still a very much “stockish” look, but better IMO. The Cruiser handles them just fine.

Where are you easily finding these wheels cheap? Generally only look on Craigslist. My 2nd gen limited Sequoia has 20" and would like go 18". Looking to update the grill and tone down the chrome.

@Living in the Past , yes… N Side of the SF Peaks. I’ve sold those same wheels, lugs, and with nearly new AT tires for $600 a set . Our local Toyota dealer used to sell take off Tundra wheels and tires for $2-300/set, and the AZ Tundras FB group is another great source.

Lmk I can put you in touch with my boss. We have plenty I believe. I have no clue what he’s charging though.

@Pitch I miss the Flagstaff area. Up until we bought home in the Happy Jack area I always camped and hunt in the forest surrounding Flagstaff. Now don't think I been there since 2022.

As for wheels unfortunately I missed the boat for new take offs. Purchase of a fifth generation 4Runner the Sequoia was sort of forgotten. 4Runner is gone and so are new take off five lug wheels. Sorry I missed your wheels, would have purchased those.

Found the wheels online. Interesting they did not show them fitting my 2010 Sequoia. They also did not shem fitting the 100 series. Showed 2014 as the earliest Tundra that fit. Did you need a wheel spacer?

@Living in the Past : Thread hijack on… No wheel spacer needed. I just had to clearance the inside of the hubcap of the front wheels with a Dremel to get the fit right. Any Sequoia or Tundra wheel from 2007-2021 should work. Different wheels will have different lug styles (steel vs alloy primarily).

@Pitch Thank you Eric. Didn't make sense it wouldn't fit. Understand the two styles of lug nuts. Searching around find the 18" available.

Actually prefer the 20" rims. I could get them at a reason price if I wanted to drive to Texas. Can't remember where I saved the picture but only posted for reference not where I found them.

See the CSC classified section as I have a set of 4 18” tundra wheels I’m looking to sell. Located in Flagataff.
