Just purchased my 09 LC

Everything is great except a few minor issues...storage!!!

Can't find a place to mount my cell phone. I usually use the Ottie mount and I don't know where to put it. I hate windshield mounts as it can obstruct the view but wanted to know if anybody has any other bright ideas.

Thanks!

Also, any good solution for audio streaming?

I have recently ordered this:

Car Air Vent Holder Stand Cradle 360° Mount for Iphone Samsung Mobile Cell Phone

Very nice adjustments, it adjusts to counter the slant of the air vents. Five bucks.

I have also ordered these two as potential cheap gifts/stocking stuffers and to test them, they have not arrived yet. One dollar each.

360°Rotating In Car Air Vent Mount Holder Cradle Stand for iPhone Mobile Phone S
Universal Car 360° Rotating Air Vent Stand Mount Cradle Holder For SmartPhone

Only in China could the seller pay for shipping across the world and the ebay commission and somehow still make a profit at one dollar.

As far as Audio, I am currently using a USB stick loaded with MP3 files.

I am a fan of FLAC lossless audio and will try that later today with my 6S Plus, free FLAC Player + app, five dollar Mfi lightning cable on Amazon, and some fat lossless 40-60mb files :) That way there is no quality loss from MP3 compression and it is all digital up to the amp/speakers.

Have not seen the interior of the 09 LC, you may still have an aux 3.5mm minijack.

On my 2004 ES, I just used regular radio and burned CDs converted from lossless FLAC.

I think 2009 is same as my 2008. No USB. Just audio jack. I use a bluetooth receiver that plugs in to the light, then run a super short jack to the Aux input there. This works an absolute charm for playing music via bluetooth, and cost all of $40.

I tested the ipod/iphone connection with Flac this evening for those with USB, excellent clarity. Tried with my Droid DNA and there is no USB support for Android though, you can use minijack.

I ordered the Kuda mount as I liked the concept of the location much better. Hope to see it fitted up soon.

Do u have a link?

I'm using an old RAM-Mount with X-Grip. It's actually a laptop one they don't make anymore. It's an aluminum bar that bolts to the seat and is bendable. Here is the closest thing I can find on their website: RAM POD HD™ Mounts | RAM Mounts

Just installed the ProClip mount in my center, driver's side vent for mounting my iphone. Placement is perfect, mount is rock solid (can't believe how solid it is), and am very happy. Was concerned it would block the vent too much, but air flow is fine and still full adjustment.

The iphone mount portion is very high quality. Machined nylon/plastic looks good, is super solid, and mounts the phone very well.

FWIW, I had been using an iOttie vent-mounted phone mount. Liked the location/placement, definitely blocked the vent. And it was super flimsy. https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Holder-Cradle-iPhone-Smartphones/dp/B017HME9DC/?tag=ihco-20

The ProClip is a huge improvement in every way. Had my doubts, but no more.

Installation was super simple.

Highly recommended.

I use this iMagnet in my lower left corner of the windshield. Out of the way, but readable when I need it. The magnetic plate you either stick directly to the back of your phone or simply insert between your phone & case (which is how I did it with a lifeproof case) and it works perfectly. Then, I just run the charging cable up the center console and over the dash with the help of one of these.
