Upullandpay 84 FJ60

It was a nice day today so I decided to take a walk for lunch. I walked around upullandpay and found an 84 fj60. It has a V8 that is missing parts. The tranny(manual) and transfer case are laying on the ground. The adapter is gone. Hubs are gone. Brown inside and out.

Anybody know if the hood prop rod was still there?

The hood prop rod is not there. I had to hold the hood open when checking it out.

Leon/Chuck--the rod is there--it was just in the back seat.

It should be still holding the hood open--I found it while i was taking the front apart.

If anyone is planning on heading over--a lot of the usual stuff is already gone.

I took the rod down and shut the hood today, it was still there

Now you tell me. If you go back let me know how much they want for it. Grommet too.

There was no grommet. It had a bolt down bracket thingy that the rod went through. Almost seemed like the wrong rod to me, didn't seem to fit, but if fj60 guru Eric Doctor says it's the right rod... I believe him. Leon, i almost grabbed it for you since your hood almost killed me at the buena vista campout. =)

OK, to be honest I didn't pay too much attention to the rod--I just jammed it in there while I took some grill hardware.

It could easily be off a 73' Pinto....
