Upgrade to 35s and Nomad wheels

Been going through lots of updates lately, thought I’d share some pics.

Just installed 315 Cooper STT Pros and 17” Nomad Arvo wheels in dusk color. Massive upgrade over 33s on stock wheels. Also took everything off the roof and had the roof gutters fixed and the roof and hood painted a couple of weeks ago.

Have a new ARB base rack, OVS 270 awning, and a replacement Tuff Stuff Alpha RTT. I’ll post pics once I install it all.

Did you have to use "ET" lug nuts on those to get more than 5 threads of enguagement?

Used the “tuner” style lugs that Nomad recommended

Have to say i expected to hate them. I am a fan of OEM wheel but those look nice.

I would like to go to 17s but dont really want aftermarket wheels. I kind of like the scs and these also look good. Theae have a little of the OEM steel wheel look going on.

Did they get you 8 threads of enguagement on the lugs?

Not sure, had a tire shop install them. Will be pulling front wheels soon to diagnose a hot hub, I’ll let you know then.

I’m with you man, took me a long time to find wheels good enough to replace stock. I have SCS F5s on my 78, love them but I think the Nomads are a better fit on the 80.

Tent upgrade! We found this beauty at Overland Expo East in October. It’s a Reign Outdoor Sleep-Over Plus size. Massive upgrade in build quality and comfort over the old Tuff Stuff Alpha. Fits like it was made for the ARB base rack.
