wow - how the hell did he do that?!

Looks like he was thrown on the ground and the troopie just rolled up off of him. Good ad for getting people to think about their wheel direction before changing directions and for wearing their seatbelts.

This one is another lucky bugger:
YouTube - Buddies "oh s***" 4wd mistake
Not sure what they were thinking?

If you look closely you can see that as soon as the troopie lands on the roof the first time he's got the door open and slips out then. Good timing, still think he might have been safer inside the vehicle sith a seat belt, especially if he got cought on something then the truck would have landed on him as it rolled.

looks to me that his tires were bald and fully inflated. Also when he reversed to get unstuck he blipped it abit to much.

Yeah that was really lucky how he dropped to the ground as the truck was above him, and stayyed there as the truck continued beyond.

Here's another one that started out looking really innocent then things went bad quick. YouTube - And you though reversing in a car park was hard...
That one he's lucky the first tree he knocked over swung the nose around otherwise he'd barrel roll a lot further.

And look which way his tires were pointed when he slammed it into reverse.

Kim, someone did this on Cheam? Hope it was on a slope with trees!

No, no one did this at Cheam. I did have pictures of such an occurrence in my mind the last time we were up there in the snow.

I am a tree hugger! I think most people once they have been saved by trees on a steep slope roll over.

I have had horrible thoughts of this happening to me on a number of occassions when I had no other vehicle with me or person qualified to spot. Its amazing how quick a situation which appears so simple can go real bad. Last time was backing down a soft off camber skidder trail on an open slope. This is also when I learned the limitations of the vacuum can to store vacuum and that my low range is not low enough in reverse gears. Just happened to have the whole family and my 82 year old mom with me at the time.

Ummmh, I seem to remember that. :censor: Not so much a thought of going off backwards though. More like facing your fears head on. That reminds me I still need to get a set of chains.
