I'm toying with the idea of maybe trading my mog for something cool. Maybe an fj80 in good shape or something cool and exotic.

The way I figure is. Since I'm not sure if I really want to get rid of it or if you are really interested in it. I will give you more info. If you're a tire locker then I'm not going to waste bandwidth to put the info here.
I'll trade you a stock 1994 with lockers and brand new 33s
184k miles
a bit of rust (passenger door seam)
would you call this exotic?
I would. What is it? It's cool for sure!!
Well for those of us who work on mogs and know just a little bit about them. Its obviously a 404 but is it a .1 .s etc etc which motor does it have the standard gasser or high compression motor. Single or dual carbed. Standard zenith ignition or pertronix. What type of shape are the tires in. Do you have the canvas for the bed. What type of shape is the cab canvas in. How much rust. When was the last time the trans was serviced. When was the last time the portals were serviced. When was the last time the diffs were serviced. Is it 24 volt or 12 volt. What kind of shape are the shocks in. How many hours are on the engine. Are the windshields in good shape. All these questions would need to be answered before i would even think about trading a 10000 fj80 for what potentially could be a 4000 404. Sorry for the lack of punctuation but really give everyone a little more info. That 5kbs of bandwidth isnt gonna break the bank.
I don't think anyone is trying to be a pain, they are just trying to help you out.
Why not give some one an estimate of value and details to see if they are even interested in your ride.
Like Dtfj40 said, is it a $4k mog or a $10k mog. Some guys might not offer lower valued stuff that you would be interested in trading for if they think your mog is way more valuable than their rig. On the other hand if someone has a nice FJ80 and then finds out your mog needs a ton of work and is worth half the value of their rig, then they just wasted time asking you questions that should be posted in your ad from the start.
You talk about saving bandwidth, why not save some time and post up information that would be critical to any trade.
