If you can multiply and divide by 10, then you understand the metric system...too easy

That's not the issue, visually I think in inches. I can look at something and know it's length x width x height with relative accuracy. I could never do that in metric terms.

Estimating something in one unit vs another is different than being able to calculate something quickly in your mind.

6 3/8 x 14 5/16 would be much harder to do that 150mm x 220mm for example.

Not when you've been doing it your whole life and not if you've done construction. Yes, on paper it's easier when I know the measurements. When I'm staring at a piece of metal I'll know it's relative dimensions by looking at it and I'll be very close. I just can't do that with mm.

I've read that people of genius calibre often cannot do simple math well. To that my reply is, 2+2=5!

The Chairman of the Board of the telecom company I worked for ten years ago was an idiot savant. Absolutely the smartest man I'd ever met but he ONLY thinks at this crazy level of intelligence. He can not tie his own shoes, he can't remember to zip up his pants, change clothes, brush his teeth. Needs to be reminded to eat and wipe after taking a dump...assuming he takes a dump IN the bathroom. He was fascinating. He was Einstein and Corky all in one.

My brother is very similar. Two PhDs, four masters, fluent in 7 (maybe 8, I can't keep track), eidetic memory, no cellphone, just got a checking account and debit card for the first time...He's 51! He is the most brilliant person I've ever met.

Lids are done. More to detail but I'm freaking exhausted and I need sleep :(

I seen to keep getting questions about using the FEM-1 for the passenger side of the 80 series. YES, it will bolt right up and YES the lid will also bolt right up. No worries there. As previously stated in this thread, the angles between the DS and the PS are different because the trans hump is offset slightly. This means the PS mount could have two flat sides wherein the DS requires one side be tapered. If you are using the FEM-1 for the passenger side everything will work just as expected and hold your fire extinguisher just fine. Where I lose is that the Wits' End riveted data plate is not seen since its on the other side. Otherwise its bolts up and looks fine. Here are some pics of the bracket mounted on my PS seat and then a top view showing both fire extinguishers. Oh and BTW, I still have PLENTY of these. Don't be shy :flipoff2:

Bump for these. I have now 7 more left in stock. I have not decided if I am making another run of these or not yet.

postage to sydney, Aus?

just sent you a PM

Damnit Joey!! I want one. Ugh. I will go to the website. Ugh. Now I have to buy a new fire extinguisher...

Do you have any plans on making the mount even smaller? Without the option of having a storage space built in.
The reason I ask is that I still thing the entire setup sticks out too much in front of the seat and if the extinguisher was to be mounted closer to the floor and/or seat it wouldn't be in the way so much.
