ChairLift

Finally have the pieces I needed to complete the kit. Mainly the hardware. This is a mockup of the final look because I don't have the pieces back from powder coating and laser etching yet but its fair to say its what the final is going to look like. These will be available on the site as individual kits JUST as soon as I get the instructions for it ready to go but at least wanted to show you guys that things are still progressing. Albeit not at the pace I intended :(

For those that ordered this as part of the GroupBuy thank you. You will be getting the first units.

What does this do? Whereas @landtank's seat extenders push the seat back 2" and raises it .75", this ChairLift only raises the front of the seat by .75" without pushing the seat back or doing any of the other necessary processes.

Why do you want/need it? Well...you probably don't :flipoff2:
BUT...if you are "vertically challenged" then getting the front of the seat up another .75" doesn't hurt. If you have my FEM already and NEED to be able to get full movement of the seat because your significant other is only 4'11" tall, well this will give the seat the bump up it needs to allow the plastic valance to clear my Fire Extinguisher Mount. Another reason you may want it is to get a little more space above the FEM's new locking lid so that those WITHOUT LT's seat extensions can still get access to the lid and contents.

Those look pretty sharp. I have no need for them. But nice job.

I still need to decide on the final design of the Cargo Panel before I pull the trigger on having a bunch made. My guy only needs a week to make them so I'm trying to push it out as long as I can in case I change my mind on the design. So far I have twice :(

Well I suppose it's about time to get some feedback. This attaches to the FEM via Velcro and I'm playing with different strengths. The military grade may be too much for this application especially since it won't ever get direct sunlight. But still testing.

I removed a notch to clean the Medeco cam lock so no more potential binding. I added Velcro to the back of it where it will attach to the new hinge cross bar support. I also added in a pocket along the long end but since it needs to be so shallow I can imagine it's usefulness.

What are your thoughts before I go into production on these?

I like it. Not sure of the pocket usefulness. Could maybe see me using for a flash drive and some money. But not sure if it will add that much usefulness. Looks great. Cannot wait to install.

Hmmm...if thats the potential use case then I need to put a stitch vertically down the center of the pocket so that it is two pockets and they are tighter to the panel. That way things won't bounce out of them. Hmm, maybe its not such a bad idea after all :hhmm:

Not a bad idea to put a divider. That could also make a nice storage place for wedding ring as well. I might copy a fsm and ewd and put on a jump drive hidden in that pocket

I'm not against the pocket but, for me, it's not necessary. Between your accessory panel under the console lid with it's hidden pocket and the lockbox, I think I'm covered for secure storage of small items. I honestly don't know what I'm going to put inside the FEM but I'm sure I'll think of something. It might be a good spot for my winch control.

And the Chairlift would come in handy for the shorter girlfriend! Everybody wins!!

I knew someone was going to say something haha.

I'm mainly thinking when we take the cruiser to the beach or snorkeling and leave the rings and wallet at the car. However, I will still have the center lockbox, just might be harder to access if removing my other clutter in the console.

You need a shorter girlfriend.

Yeah. One that is about 36" tall with a flat top head to set your beer, and handlebar ears.

Some of this is a repeat if you are following on my LockBox thread but here it is again...

The very first spot-welded LockingLid for the Fire Extinguisher Mount on the 80Series I'm only off about 1/16" so all I need to do is make a wooden alignment jig based on this and I'm golden. Should be able to do all the spot-welding needed in under three mins per lid. Happy days. Just waiting for UPS to get here so I can keep playing.

Got in the felt liner today finally!!! Trying to decide which side lining to go with. Both are felt but one is 1/16" and the other is 1/4". I like the padded feel of the 1/4" but it does reduce the overall interior dimension.

These are ridiculously nice Joey. Can you stick with mm measurements? This is a Japanese truck for crying out loud. If I wanted American measurements I would've bought a Heep! :flipoff2: I can't wait to have the funds to be able to pick one of these up... Very nice work brocefus!

Thanks dude. No metric system for me when doing product development. I need to be able to calculate in my head and I can do that with the metric system. :meh:
