It’s hot for a couple months, but nothing rusts and the rest of the year is perfect ;)

Yeah idk man, I have a friend who lives in Phoenix, between the dust storms and 120*F in the summer and you can’t go outside between the hours of sun up to sun down...I’ll take my rust.

I've got a ScanGage I and its 18 yrs old and probably paid over $200 back then. It is a bigger/clunkier unit than the SCII or UG but fits under the rear heater switch on an 80 with heavy duty velcro. It only has the orange backlight color and is bigger than it needs to be IMO...alot of wasted space inside for air I guess. The last time I used it the screen started to act funny and it would cut out. I did let "a friend" at work borrow it and wonder if he dropped it or something or if age/humidity finally is affecting it. It has served it purpose not only in the 80, but scanning codes in other family cars over the years and I liked its simple design. I always had my eye on the newer smaller units and am leaning towards the SCII for another 18 years of service.

Scanguage II. I have it fully loaded with x-codes that work on the 1999 Tacoma and 1999 XL470. Simplicity between vehicles.
