Hello

I'm new to the forum, but I've followed it for a long time and it's been helpful. I have a Prado 150 (same as the GX460), and I have the first generation SPC 25480 control arms. I'm trying to find the bushings, but I can't find them; only the Axxis ones are available. Has anyone used any other bushings (OEM, Superpro, etc.) that are simply a matter of removing the damaged one and installing the new one without any modifications? I don't know if this has been discussed in another post; I've searched but haven't found anything.

Regards,

Search for SPC number 25546 Bushing Kit, and they seem to show up.

I think that is what I used for my first gen arms on my old FJ

Why not upgrade to the Xaxis? They seem superior as those old rubber ones just gall up eventually. I do believe they are interchangeable from the old style. Probably a way easier install too. Getting those old style bushing 'lips' through the UCA bore is a chore. Xaxis look like simple 2-piece design.

If you do go Xaxis, make sure you dont tighten them up until the truck is on the ground...I think they are OE style, and would tear otherwise.

Making a press with some threaded rod works decently to get the old ones out too (and new ones in)

Clever idea for a press!

Thank you so much for your reply.
I have a friend who bought SPC bearings with Axxis bushings, and they only lasted three months. They honored the warranty, and the same thing happened. I don't know if they've improved since then, but these bearings aren't cheap. When I have to replace the bushings and ball joints, it's almost like replacing the entire UCA .
I'm thinking of switching brands to something with more affordable replacement options.
