Just looking for some advice here. The 80 has the TVSS security system but I don't have a key fob for it so I'm assuming its been disabled (box is still under the seat though). I've read a lot of threads on how finicky it can be so I'm hesitant to dive into finding a fob to program and get it going again. However, the keyless entry would sure be helpful when having a baby. Has anyone just had a new system installed using any part of the old..? Or just a new system the best way to go?

Seems like the Corolla fob has been used, on the big board there have been a few threads about getting e system running when fobs are lost.

I also did a basic viper system and asked them to connect nothing except the door locks, no blinking headlights, no horn honk, no ignition defeat, no remote start, just unlock my doors. I felt the less intrusive the unit was the less likely I would have problems down the road.
