Everything commented on in the above needs to be done in order to preserve the area. However until there is regular enforcement of the rules, there will be no improvement.

My buddies and I quit going up there 4-5 years ago because of the idiots and the trails were getting torn up and badly rutted by guys driving 4 wheel drives with huge tires.

We decided we would rather go to Kansas Rocks or Colorado rather than Tuttle Creek and take a chance on tearing up our rigs.
 
Purdy easy to pick a big sack a trash at Tuttle ever trip. Unfortunutly......... Seen a chain in use insted of a tree saver strap. Offerd to let em use one, an then they were told "Don't ya know chains kill Rednecks!"
I prefer KRRA too, it adds pride when ya pay ta ply apperantly..... But there is erosian at all obsticals. Go run Metal Masher out in Moab an see....
Hate ta loose Tuttle but the self rule ain't werkin...
