Anyone know if the turbo from an AXT 2H kit would work with a 3B. I understand the manifolds are different, but curious if they share the turbo.

gotta a good deal?

I bet it's close. Not a lot of cfm difference between the two engines IMOP.

I'm living thru cody right now, he also did the Merkur turbo his 3b. I installed my merkur a year ago, yet to drive it. But pulled 7 psi in the garage :)

When your considering $$. A manifold from G&S is 500. Turbo(used) is approx 200. Adapter plate 100(between turbo and manifold), various pipes, hoses another 100.

I like the DIY route. The 13b-t manifold is very very nice.

Brownbear, I see you've been going down this road... I used search and found you all over the place, as well as Greg_B. I'm having glow timer problems, looks like it's time to install the Wilson switch. I've got a line on a 13BT manifold, and an AXT turbo that was going to be installed on a 2H. I talked him out of installing the AXT on his 2H... nice guy eh. Soo, I'm getting the turbo part number to see if it's the same as the 3B one. bj_70 guy informs me there is only 600cc difference in the motors. I need to figure out the plumbing, but I'm sure my friends will help me out here. I think the Poo wagon needs some competition. ;)
Now, if I could find a good deal on a set of Marks gears...

greg has a really good wilson write up. I made it a thread, so search his name and wilson.

I bet the 2h turbo is close.

All over the place? Yah I'm a postaholic....... the plumbing isn't hard. take your oil pressure where greg told me to take mine, off the oil galley under the alternator. If you search my thread "bj60 gets repaint" you can see my turbo.

For my oil return see "oil pan man" I removed the oil pan and welded in a bung.

Aw heck I can find these easy...... https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=61755&highlight=oil+pan+man

Whatcha doin' with the manifold? I've got a 13B-T manifold here and the MR2 turbo and rebuild kit but the '55 with the 3B, Volvo turbo and AXT manifold pulls really good (better than the '60 with the full AXT kit) and I could be convinced to replicate that.

Hey Charles,
Are you wanting to part with that 13B-T manifold and MR2 turbo? I am going your route for my FJ55--- 3B'ng it and am looking for a turbo for my 3B. PM me.

Hijack from Colorado-----officially over.

Thanks Brownbear.
Charles, I'm acquiring all the parts for a DYI 3B turbo. 13BT manifold, Garrett T3 turbo or Garrett Airesearch TA0310 or ...
Toyota manifold/Garrett adapter (haven't seen this yet, I could probably fab one up).
I have yet to find a definitive list of required parts, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Nope, not parting with it unless I had an opportunity to get a AXT manifold and turbo. The AXT is a common footprint which makes turbo's a little easier to find unless you go with the adaptors.

I need to rebuild the MR2 turbo and decide how to smooth the entry since the MR2 is a dual inlet turbo and the 13B-T manifold is not. I may need some kind of adaptor plate after all.

Not offically, but it can be :-) I've toyed around with the idea. Trades for something else, straight up cash...determining the value is the most difficult part.

that is the key. Honesty I think many LHD Canadian 60's are under priced. But hey thats just me. A 60 is a classic in the making. Just like a 57 Chev.
