Going to be moving back to Cali (Santa Clarita area) after a 6 1/2 year hiatus in NC.

Been a while since I looked at CA smog laws for forced induction.

Back when I lived there I mostly played with Camaros, Mustangs and the sort and everything sold there was CARB approved.

My point to this is that I have a turbo kit that was fab'd up for a 3FE that I want to put on my 92 80 before I move back there. Will I run into a problem trying to get it registered and smoged there????

It doesn't effect the smog equipment at all.

The only CARB approved turbo is the Safari kit for '95-97 80's and LX450s using a Garrett T04E. So, yes you will likely have problems at a smog station.
