Just wondering if anyone has ever installed a turbo-glide kit on their Cruiser? The kit is a little pricy but cheaper than the AXT outfit. The link is http://www.turboglide.com.au/ If anyone knows anything about these guys I would appreciate some feedback, thanks:cheers:

I dont know anyone personally, but there's a lot of talk on aussie forums and a lot of guys in the eastern states who run this setup who are happy with it.

These are the same kits, Iv talked with him before, seems decent enough. (no affil)
I dont think turboglide will do postage or parts, I emailed them about parts and specs, they pretty much
just sent a quote to me for install.

Like Wes said, Michael and I installed one on my HJ60 here in San Diego. Turbo Glide is great to deal with. They were really fast-the unit arrived withing 4 days via fedex, and shipping was not bad at all. They do supply parts as well, but I think only after you bought a turbo from them. Also, they are very quick in answering questions via email.
They don't accept credit cards from here though, so you have to make a wire transfer.

I am very happy with the turbo set-up, it is well done and works really well.
what engine were you thinking about?

The engine is a 3B, in my 1984 BJ42. It looks like the very same turbo as AXT, only they do not use the water cooled section, its only oil cooled a bonus as far as I can tell. Cheers

I am also looking into DIY route, however I bought a turbo off Ebay:doh: and well you probably know the rest of that story. I might be able to still salvage it and flip my manifold and blah, blah, blah. I would like to do a clean an install as poss. though this is a real nice truck she deservesit ya know. Thanks for the link anyway.

Is this for a 40/42, 60, or 70?

Sorry I didn't see it was a bj42. You could buy a 3bt manifold from G&S and then buy a new turbo from from a turbo shop and have them cnc you an adapter and run the plumbing.
