So I made it down to the Iron John's land cruiser night tonight and there was 1 80 leaving as I was getting there And 1 62 series that was there briefly. I know Chris is no longer with Iron John's so I don't know how much longer these are going to continue to happen.
I had it on my calendar, but lack of a reminder post from IJB on their socials and lack of activity here was admittedly demotivating.

Are evening events this time of year the best idea? It's hard to appreciate the rigs in the dark. Would anyone be game for a monthly hour or two-hour "coffee & cruisers" on a Saturday or Sunday morning?

There are a lot of cars and coffee events.

But if we do something like this we should agree on a specific Saturday and location that is somewhat of a cruiser destination locally

Me 2 other guys started a regular meet back in 2005. It last maybe half a year with just the 3 of us meeting up once a month.
I think it’s just how Tucson rolls.

I just reached out to precision Toyota to see if we could do a Cruisers and coffee there or if they had an idea

We were there with the 80 series. We plan to continue going as long as others do: good location, good food, good people, good times.........

I'm game. I ended up talking to the guy driving the 62 series for about a half hour

How about instead of meeting and stand we all go run a trail and use the rigs?
I could be down for some forest road camping type stuff. I have no desire to really wheel it anymore.

There used to be some guys who got together for a campfire in the desert somewhere in this thread I think. What ever happened to that?

I have learned that if you want to do a run, plan it a publicize the hell out of it.

My 2 oldest kids are looking for people/ businesses to sponsor their grand car show March 29th for Marana high school. Since it is a school club the sponsorships are tax deductible. I am hoping to also have Uma up and running by then 🤞. If there is any one interested in sponsoring/sponsorship or if you have questions let me know through DM.

I just found this Facebook group Tucson Toyotas they have a meet up this Tuesday

Not sure if I will be able to make it

Terry Crews-r and the 40 we're hoping to make an appearance at the Cruiser meet-up. The event isn't on Iron John's calendar anymore. Do we have any kind of local organizational structure? Do we have a local chapter President or board or... I really want to participate in Copper State and also, it seems to be heckin' difficult. Is anyone else interested in putting together something a bit more formal or is this a pipe dream?

Iron John's doesn't do it anymore

I am hoping to have the old girl up and running by then. My daughter also told me to mention that there is an official road category.

If there isn't anyone doing anything tomorrow during the day and wants to help me get my dizzy stabbed correctly hit me up😉
